Google Analytics When using www.mikeweavercommunications.co.uk or www.mwc.co.uk, data is collected by an external service, Google Analytics. This service allows us to collect information on user and visitor behaviour within our website and through the use of our e-newsletter, which is distributed through a third-party provider, MailChimp (there is a section on this service and our use of it further on). We use Google Analytics to allow us to understand how effective our website and content is at delivering value and meeting customer expectations. The way we process this data is to understand how many visitors use certain parts of our site, how much time they spend on those areas, and what pages on our website they visit next. It allows us to work from a user’s perspective so that we can deliver the best experience possible. This information is not used for the purposes of identifying anybody, and we do not attempt to do so. Additionally, the provider of this service, Google, does not attempt this either. Mailing lists When you first visit our website, a window will appear on the page asking you to subscribe to our e-newsletter. If you choose to do so, you have the option to select what kind of marketing material you want to receive from us. There is no requirement for you to sign-up. However, we feel that your experience with us is greatly improved if you decide to receive further communications from us. You also can opt-in through the user area on the website by ticking the box to subscribe to our e-newsletter. Our e-newsletter is delivered by the service MailChimp. We gather statistics and information regarding email opening and click rates using the industry-standard technologies contained within the software. You can unsubscribe from the mailing list at any time, by clicking ‘unsubscribe’ on the bottom of an email from us. Purchasing information When purchasing products through our site, payments are processed by SAGE Pay or PayPal. Our shopping cart system is built through a provider called Actinic. They provide the framework this shopping cart and link this to the payment processing companies. We do not have any access to your payment information and it cannot be seen by us. Additionally, we have an SSL certificate, meaning that all card information is kept private. Access to your personal information You have the right to view, amend, or delete (in accordance with Article 17 of the GDPR, known as the ‘right to be forgotten’) the information that we hold on you, whether it’s on our website, stored in our mailing list or Google Analytics database.
